Well folks it's Veterans Day. The day we pay homage to all who served in defense of our country. A lot of people pay little attention to this holiday, but not me. I come from a military family. My dad was a Marine officer for almost 25 years and served in both Korea and Vietnam. My Grandfather fought in the battle of Saipan in WW II. I never had the opportunity to serve. According to MSNBC TV, an extremely large avalanche has fallen on The Canyons ski resort, at least one and possibly up to 15 skiers are missing. apparantly they were in an out of bounds area, and brought it down on themselves. I know this part of the resort pretty well, and have skied Dutch Draw a few times.The hills are a dangerous place sometimes. If you ski or board, always remember that. Link
