Well folks it's Veterans Day. The day we pay homage to all who served in defense of our country. A lot of people pay little attention to this holiday, but not me. I come from a military family. My dad was a Marine officer for almost 25 years and served in both Korea and Vietnam. My Grandfather fought in the battle of Saipan in WW II. I never had the opportunity to serve. But i admire and respect those who choose to. I wish more people would as well. These folks sacrifice a lot to protect ...

I was doing some research on the web this evening, and after a series of clicks i found this site. It's part of the Texas Department of Corrections website. it is a listing of the final statements of some of the people executed over the past few years. I read through all of the statements, and it amazed me how many of them found god, claimed innocence, refused to make statements, and apologized to the survivors of their victims.
