Howdy folks! I arrived in Miami last night. Stop #2 on my 3 city trip. Any of you business travelers know that sometimes you get the shaft when it comes to car rentals, and accommodations. You rent a certain class of car, and when you get there, they stick you in a GEO metro or something like that, and when you get to the hotel, they have stuck you in a room next to the damn elevators. I was watching CNN today and they ran a story on the FDA approval of data microchips in humans for the purpose of transporting medical data. This kinda freaks me out. I'm sure the FDA has the best intentions for this, but i get the feeling that the technology will be seriously abused at some point. What do you think? Link I have ranted a few times about my bad experiences with the TSA. (in fact i got into it with them yesterday at the Portland airport) Showing your ID in my opinion isn't a violation of your rights, i have no problem with it whatsoever. Rodney Dangerfield passed away yesterday from complications after heart valve replacement surgery. He was 82. He was most likely one of the greatest stand up comedians of all time, and had a career that spanned half a century. The world is a less funny place without him. I was doing some research on the web this evening, and after a series of clicks i found this site. It's part of the Texas Department of Corrections website. it is a listing of the final statements of some of the people executed over the past few years. I read through all of the statements, and it amazed me how many of them found god, claimed innocence, refused to make statements, and apologized to the survivors of their victims. Last night it was reported that guitarist Johnny Ramone 55, of the legendary punk band the Ramones, died of prostate cancer in LA. Ramone was surrounded by friends and loved ones Sunday afternoon when he passed at his Los Angeles home. He was proceeded in death by singer Joey, and Bassist Dee Dee Ramone.
