I was watching CNN today and they ran a story on the FDA approval of data microchips in humans for the purpose of transporting medical data. This kinda freaks me out. I'm sure the FDA has the best intentions for this, but i get the feeling that the technology will be seriously abused at some point. What do you think? Would you have one implanted in you?

thanks for reading,

If you study the bible, you will see that the book of revelation (chapt 13) acuurately predicts this. The microchip is the number of the beast or 666. Look it up and beware.......this will become mandatory unless something is done to prevent it.

Can't you think on your own?

Indeed, I am worried about the abuses. It'll get cracked before it gets released and those hackers will sell information to whatever wants where I go, buy, etc to the slimy as a slug companies.

However, it could help on IDing people for high-secure places, etc withouty really heavy passwords, etc. Hell, it could replace ID cards.

There is nothing wrong with the FDA approving microchips for humans. All this means is that they are a safe technology to be implanted under the skin. It in no way suggests these are something that everyone must have.

When the FDA approved breast implants were people afraid that the government would force everyone to have one? Or when they approved heart pace makers, did people complaing about their rights being threathened. No. This is just scare tactics. The FDA says if something is safe. Only the government has the authority to legislate as to whether everyone should be forced to use something.

I personally would not have something implanted into me that I was not 100% of the security on. I definitely would not have an implant that anyone with a scanner could read.

I agree on the implants having valid uses, but knowing how things work, i still feel the chance for abusing the technology is real. I don;t mean to say that the government is going to start grabbing folks off the streets and implanting them though. I think XX summed it up best.

Good comments folks!

read rev. chapers 12-15. It talks way back then about having this identifying mark in the right hand,etc...... just read the kjv bible. This may be just a start.

Sol,

I just had a vision of the government grabbing folks off the street and forcing them to have breast implants

Unfortunately it was a group of teamsters...
