I used to think John McEnroe's Show was a stinker. Then i caught an episode of This turkey.

Dennis has really been tanking over the past few years. His razor sharp wit dulled by mediocrity.

Thanks for reading,

His razor sharp wit dulled by conservatism.

That's exactly what I was thinking, and then: there it is in the "comments."

Since he was a conservative at the height of his hilarity this argument doesn't hold much water.

This show didn't have the snap of The Daily Show for certain but then again it was also devoted far more seriously to actual debate and discourse than TDS is. I think people wanted to see 60 minutes of Dennis Miller rants everyday which simply isn't possible. Miller's monlogues are carefully constructed and deeply layered. You don't crank those things out by the bushel. He wrote most of his best work for his stand up shows which left him struggling to meet an impossible goal for the talk show.

There is a network called CNBC?

Uhm Grey?I think he was more of a lib at the height of his carreer. SNL in particular. He only switched sides after 9/11 from what i can tell.

Either way, he's a one trick pony. I guess CNBC doesn't find the trick as amusing anymore.

True. I saw him on the Tonight Show after 9/11 and he said he was becoming conservative.

I liked his show when it first started airing but then I saw a couple of them where he literally seemed high on something. He almost fell off a chair at one point for no apparent reason (i.e. not as part of a bit or from laughter). It's too bad that it declined in such a manner because I truly think he is the most intelligent comedian out there. Maybe he just got burnt out.

I think that's the case Mrs. User.

I have always been a fan of his comedy. Even when he took the conservative shift. I still liked his work, but noticed the decline as well.
Maybe he should take a few months off and maybe try to do an Al Franken kind of thing. I think politics in general need all the comedians they can get.

If you mean Al Franken's radio show, I don't think so. I watched a little of one on Flix I think it was and I thought it sucked.
