Overpriced crap is still crap!

How many of you own an iPOD and subscribe to iTUNES?

I used to be one of you. I thought "What a GREAT deal this iPOD thingie is. I can load what i want on it and pay per song!" What a bargain!

Boy was i WRONG!

I totalled up how much i have spent over the past couple of years.....Well over 500 bucks in music alone. One word.......HOSED!

So i started looking at other options. Rhapsody, and a few others. But they were the same deal without the propriatery gear. Then i found the new Napster. They operate much like their competitors by charging per song. But they have a new and interesting idea. If you buy any MP3 player on their approved list, you pay a $14.95 flat fee for UNLIMITED downloads!!! You can download 99% of their catalog. They do have some songs you have to purchase at regular prices, but the vast majority are available for unlimited download. SWEET!

I encourage all of my iPOD bretheren and sisteren to give it a shot. I bought the Creative Labs Zen Micro at FRY's Electronics for $189.00. IT has 5 gb of space, a REPLACEABLE battery, and much easier controls. You can do a lot more with your music as well. I have 10 different playlists already, and i've had the thing less than 24 hours

Throw off the oppressivee shackles of Apple. And stop paying for Steve jobs bad toupees! GET NAPSTER.

Thanks for reading,

P.S. The music selection is better too!

Thanks! I've been using iTunes without an iPod and had been thinking of picking one up. I don't really buy much music (recently, I've been drinking a lot of diet pepsi and getting only free songs), so the individual downloads isn't too bad to pay for right now. But, I want to get a MP3 player and have been passively shopping around (with iPod at the top of the list by default). I'll have to give the new napster a look.

It's definately worth it!

I wonder how Napster can afford to do that?

Definitely a good thing to look into!  Thanks for doing the leg work!

The music selection is simply amazing. All the stuff i couldn't find on iTUNES i have found on napster.

I dunno how they do it so cheap. But it rocks!
